They may display some signs of clinical depression but this is usually cause by the feeling that are initiated by the anxiety. If that can be treated they generally will go back to leading perfectly normal lives.Treatment is very easy through medication and in some cases therapy can be very effective as well. Once the person feels comfortable in social situations most of the problems that come with the anxiety will simply disappear.
