Can you help with my throat problems ?!?!?!?! PLEASE
Okay so for a while I had this funky thing going on with my throat. It feels as if there is a bump there. but it also feels like musckles the sides of the neck are tight. I feel pain in the neck and sides sometimes it hurts to swallow or breathe deeply through my mouth. I also sometimes give pain around the area around my Adams apple would be if I had one. I phlegm up sometimes, but always clear. Tonsils and glands are not swollen. When I suck on mints seem to go away for a bit of its very irritating. I am 17 and they have many gastrointestinal problems, IBS alone and sometimes have symptoms of GERD. Could it be seasonal allergies or anxiety related?
I had the same thing. my mom took me to the doctor and prescribed 10 mg (or 20 IDR) tablets of loratadine for allergies supposively and post-nasal drip, phlegm, and swollen glands, etc. I also had the "lump" in my throat, is now on both sides. After taking two boxes prescribed for me, the problems of diminished but returned in a few months. I think it's just allergies. I am also trying to anxiety, so that could play a role in it too. I hope helped:)-edit-it Sorry, meant that the IDR can not remember, lol

Tips For Deeper Sleep, Naturally
How many times a week do you wake up feeling like you didn’t sleep a wink all night long? Whether you were bothered by thoughts or the noise outside, not being able to fall asleep and stay asleep at night can have serious repercussions for your mental and physical health.
Though 50% of adults in the U.S. claim to have sleep problems, which include different forms of insomnia, there are plenty of natural remedies out there which may just do the trick in promoting sound sleep without the need for pharmaceuticals. Here are some of my faves. Chamomile, lavender, mint, passionflower and oatstraw and great herbs for helping induce a deeper sleep and you can enjoy them in a relaxing herbal bath either as whole herbs in a muslin bag or use their essential oils; just add 4-5 drops of the essential oil of your choice to your warm bath after the water has been turned off. Melatonin has also been used successfully in the treatment of many sleep related disorders such as treating and preventing jet lag.
Melatonin should only be taken at night-time and is usually most effective when taken about 30 minutes prior to going to sleep. Personally, I use magnesium 30 minutes before bed for a relaxing and deep sleep and a great feeling through the next day too. Valerian is another commonly prescribed calming sleep aid and is recommended for treating anxiety-related sleep problems.
Studies suggest that valerian is by far the best natural solution for insomnia and general sleeplessness for most individuals but Valerian must be used on a regular basis to gain its benefits, and full effects come to fruition over time. Exposure to colored lights, massages using color-saturated oils and salves, visualization of certain colors, or wearing certain colors of clothing can be very helpful in promoting better sleep. Finally, meditation also encourages and promotes relaxation which means better chances of falling into a deeper sleep.
