Anxiety questions. please help?
I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. sometimes I get scared sometimes eating certain foods and do certain things. Can someone please explain to me about the foods I can and can not eat. Also can anyone recommend some good books for anxiety / panic attacks?
Hello, It appears they are having a difficult time right now. I am sorry that you feel anxious ... However, I do not quite understand the relationship with the consumption of certain foods. Are you afraid of causing a food allergy reaction or you are worried about winning / losing weight? I recommend that you consult a psychologist to discuss their problems with anxiety for you to find the cause and attempt to address this. I would not recommend medication or the purchase of medicines over the Internet. That said, drinking some warm milk with honey (if you tolerate those who, of course, always seemed to have a soothing effect on me. "Hot tea, especially herbal, also had a soothing effect, but this is very subjective. In my experience, attention and awareness of breathing exercises have helped me to control my panic attacks. Volume several slow, deep breathing while thinking about inhaling and exhaling to calm any anxiety I sometimes say, relax as you exhale. Long and slow .... as re-lax in silence and long term. Sounds strange, but it does help. I recommend the following. Read reviews on amazon.com to see what might work best for you. 1. Mindfulness for Beginners by Jon Kabat-Zinn (Audio CD) 2. Mindful Way through Depression: freedom from chronic unhappiness 3. Get Out of Your Mind and life: The new acceptance and commitment Therapy 4. The book of Mindfulness and acceptance of anxiety: A guide to free from anxiety, phobias and worry Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy by John P. Forsyth, Georg H. Eifert all cost less than U.S. $ 15 at Amazon. I would start with the audio CD and then maybe one of the books that you think would help more after you have the CD. The audio CD is good at first, because someone speaks through things in what could be a very difficult and hard to concentrate. That said, this is a great self-help, but a session with a good therapist could prove invaluable. If you are short on funds, the audio CD and maybe a good conversation with a friend a good listener and not a person could judge a good start.

Anxiety Cure â What Is The Best Natural Cure For Anxiety?
Let me review the different types of treatments for anxiety.
          Â
The 3 Methods To Cure Anxiety and Panic Attacks:
- MedicationÂ
- Talk Therapies
- Self-Help   Â
Â
It depends on every individual which kind of therapy is preferred. However the goal should be to help you cure the anxiety and panic attacks.
Usually people tend to go to the doctor first in order to get a diagnose and may be some medication to get rid of the "illness".
But with anxiety disorder this normally helpful method often lacks success. Anxiety disorder is not a virus or bacterial infection that is curable with popping some pills.
Unfortunately the roots of anxiety disorder and panic attacks lie deeper. The help of medication seems to be more focused on suppressing the symptoms of anxiety and panic attacks rather than on the anxiety cure itself. And not everybody wants to take medication for life.
Some people get successful help for anxiety and panic attacks with talk therapies. Provided they have found a professional therapist who is specialized in treating anxiety and panic attack disorder. The therapist already should have helped people to cure anxiety for good. The reputation should be excellent and they should be able to show you proof of their successful cured patients.
This is important because you don´t want to start the whole procedure all over again in a few years time. The best is to get a therapist recommendation from somebody who is already cured.
Here is a tipp: Some people like to talk to other panic attack sufferers to share experiences and get the feeling of being better understood. They like to talk to people who go through the same like they do.
You can find people on the internet. There are anxiety forums or anxiety blogs.
At last there are the self-help therapies with many different self-help books, courses and programs out there on how to cure anxiety and panic attacks. Not all of them are effective and some seem to have more informational character.
If you are a panic attack sufferer you might have tried many different things to cure the anxiety including professional help. Means consulting a therapist or else. Unfortunately not even professional therapists can always help you cure the anxiety forever.
Self- help is very often the last hope for people to cure the anxiety and panic attacks.
The most effective self-help programs that really help people to cure a certain disease or disorder, in this case cure the anxiety and panic attacks, are developed by ordinary people with no specific qualification or title.
What qualifies them is, that they were suffering form that particular disorder themselves and managed to find a way to cure it.
 Why is it like that?
Very easy, when nobody can help you anymore, you start a research on your own. You find out every little detail about your disorder. You become an expert yourself until you find a cure because this is your last chance.
So, a good tip may be, find a former anxiety and panic attack sufferer who is cured today.
This person can understand you perfectly and can help you to cure the anxiety for good.

Managing Anxiety in People With Autism (Paperback) $29.96 Anxiety is one of the biggest challenges facing people with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and their families. They can experience anxiety in all areas of their lives ? school, family and social life -- and it compounds the difficulties they already may have with communicating, interacting socially, and controlling their emotions. Managing Anxiety in People with Autism is one of the first books to provide practical information about dealing with anxiety in people with ASD. Drawing on her experience diagnosing and treating anxiety in people with ASD at the treatment center she founded in Sydney, Australia, Dr Chalfant provides clear, understandable explanations of different types of anxiety disorders, how they affect people across the autism spectrum, and what interventions can help. The book teaches parents: ? to know how and when their child is prone to anxiety ? to understand their role in their child`s anxious behavior ? to recognize anxious behavior Case studies and research findings help to illustrate the author`s points and clarify the causes and symptoms of anxious behavior.Managing Anxiety explains a range of different types of strategies that can help manage and treat anxiety in a variety of settings (school, home, and clinical environments) and take into consideration the different roles people play in a child or adult`s life: parent, sibling, teacher, etc. Readers find ways to modify behavior and/ or the environment to indirectly reduce anxiety, as well as interventions, such as medication or psychotherapy, which deal with symptoms directly. The discussion of more formal interventions ? psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and medication ?show how these methods can target specific anxieties. And since anxiety is generally more common in parents and siblings of a child with ASD child, the author also offers ways they too can reduce their symptoms. . |
